Official First Draft of the Aquatic Plant Management Plan for Curly-leaf Pondweed

The Official First Draft of the Manitowish Waters Lake Association’s Aquatic Plant Management Plan update for managing curly-leaf pondweed in the Manitowish Waters Chain of Lakes is available for your review.

The MWLA is soliciting comments from all interested persons, particularly on the Addendum Plan Section (4.0).  All comments will be considered when creating the final version of the Plan document.  Comments will be accepted on and before October 16, 2026.  Comments can be mailed to [email protected].  

The “plan” portion of this document is contained in the Addendum to Aquatic Plant Management Plan Section (4.0) on pages 8–11.  This document is also currently under formal review by the WDNR.

In addition to the “plan” portion, within this document there is relevant background information on the process used in the creation of the document, materials used during the presentation at the May 12, 2026 CLP planning meeting, and CLP management records and monitoring results prior to 2026.
