Boater Safety

The Town of Manitowish Waters adheres to all of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource Boating laws. NOTE: A Manitowish Waters town ordinance differs from state law for water-skiing hours and hours of operation for personal watercraft (PWC).

Statute 151-5: Water-skiing
A(1): “No person shall water-ski or operate any motorboat or PWC towing a person engaged in water-skiing or similar activity between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., local time.”

Statute 151-6: Hours of Operation for Personal Watercraft
“No person shall operate a PWC between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., local time.”
