About MWLA
Established in 1992, the Manitowish Waters Lakes Association is a 501(c)(3), not for profit, organization advocating for clean, healthy lake and river environments in our Township. All donations to the MWLA are fully tax deductible as allowed by relevant law.

Who We Are
The Manitowish Waters Lakes Association is a voluntary membership community of individuals and families that provides outreach education and meaningful hands-on activities promoting the health of our waters. Through our members’ volunteer efforts, donations and desire to safeguard our water resources, and collaborating with the Town of Manitowish Waters, Vilas County, the North Lakeland Discovery Center and other governmental and civic organizations, the MWLA is maintaining, protecting and enhancing our quality lakes and rivers.
