Need an Aquatic Plant Sample Identified?
If you have a sample of an aquatic plant you think might be invasive and would like the sample identified, this is the process.
On a zip-lock plastic bag, please put the following information:
- Your name
- Your email address or phone number.
- The place you found the sample—name of lake or river. Possibly brief further info if it seems appropriate.
- The date you found the sample.
- Then place your plant sample in the bag with a little water--enough to keep the sample moist. Seal the bag.
Where to bring the sample:
- Please bring the sample to the front desk at the entrance to the Main Lodge on the Discovery Center grounds during the hours the Discovery Center is open, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. 14006 Discovery Center Lane, Manitowish Waters, WI 54545. (The Discovery Center is located across from Koller Park, off of County Highway W.)
